2020 Domaine Belargus Anjou Treilles, Loire, France La Baladeuse The grapes are from aPure Chenin Blanc from the 2. 72 hectare monopole of the Coteau des Treilles. The Cte Rtie of the Loire was abandoned after WWII because of the steep slopes (up to 70%) and remoteness of inside what is now Pont Barr Natural Reserve. The soil is a mashup of geological chaos including magmatic rocks, schist, puddingstone, and the oldest limestone in the Loire. Aged for 18 months in barrel before bottling.
