is a fully off-dry wine (with 30 g/l of residual sugar) made from fruit harvested in a complete cross section (bottom to top) of a prime south-west-facing old-vine parcel (called Kern) situated well into the side valley on the original Ayler Kupp hill
Marc Pesnot farms 22 hectares of fifty year-old Melon de Bourgogne (the variety used to make all Muscadet wines) vines near the city of Nantes
with altitudes ranging from 210 to 290 meters
2023 Paul Gosset 'La Tonnelle' Coteaux Rouge, Champagne, France Vini Viti Vinci élevage Fermentation and aging inFunnily enough, the Gosset family started their production of still wines prior to making sparkling (which started in the 30s). This is all Pinot Noir grapes from a lieu dit "Loiselu", planted in 1972 near the village of Ay. Year in a half in old wood before being bottled. A mere 500 btls of this wine was made.
