This Chardonnay comes from one of the coast's most storied sites, Sanford & Benedict in the Sta. Rita Hills, where own rooted Wente clone vines were planted in 1971, ten miles from the Pacific and battered by wind. Fermented with wild yeast and raised in neutral oak and steel, it's all about tension
