2014 Fontodi Vigna del Sorbo, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, Italy Partida Creus Unfiltered & unfinedLocated directly in front of the winery, at 450 meters, the southwest facing Vigna del Sorbo vineyard is planted atop Galestro soils in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, only a few hundred meters from the town of Panzano. First produced in 1985, Vigna del Sorbo started off as a Riserva, where it was then one of the first wines promoted to a Gran Selezione in 2009 when the new designation in Chianti Classico was introduced.
