Chrysoberyl Crystal Specimen, Sri Lanka gem torch 8cm x 13cm x 7Chrysoberyl is an exceptionally hard gemstone composed of beryllium aluminium oxide, making it the third hardest natural gemstone. The name derives from Greek words meaning "golden" and "beryl," though it is scientifically distinct from the beryl family.
