1838 Blank Ledger with Hand-Marbled Cover and Leather Spine colors kit I'd guess this box dates

I'd guess this box dates to the mid 20th century or so

The last photo shows that there are actually five of these included in this set

as it was definitely made to stand up to heavy play

but not another like this older one by an unknown maker

though I like it a lot just on its own

1838 Blank Ledger with Hand-Marbled Cover and Leather Spine colors kit I'd guess this box datesI love the idea of writing in a notebook that was started almost 200 years ago with a header dated 1838 but never filled. waiting all this time for someone to launch in with something to say! It looks as though a few pages were torn out at the back but is near complete and completely empty, with gorgeous hand marbled covers and leather spine and corners. A perfect gift to oneself, I'd say, perhaps to be started on December 15, as its previous owner
