Description
leather and tar flavors grace the palate
followed by intense layers of fruit that totally saturate the palate
It is one of those rare Liracs that will age for 10-15 years
This should repay a few years of keeping as it will need time to unwind
with a creamy bead to the texture and a base note of minerality
The Hilt, Old Guard Chardonnay Vintage:2010 leather and tar flavors grace(55% fruit from Sanford & Benedict vineyard and 45% from Solomon Hills vineyard), Pale gold. Musky, heady aromas of yellow plum, poached pear, lemon pith and iodine. Pliant and creamy in texture, with a restrained sweetness to its deep orchard and citrus fruit flavors. Finishes spicy and long, with a smoky mineral nuance adding bite. Josh Raynolds
