This guy sure seems to me as if he always existed-- as if he just washed up on the shore one day fully (or almost fully) formed

but  their clothing is suggests they are laborers to me

crafted I'd think a century and a few decades ago from cigar box scraps

on all sides of the box

Seeds and Pod, Lovely Old Handmade Glass Slide skull and crossbones His body is made ofI found this specimen slide and another similar at a favorite New Hampshire stop the other day, which has a back room filled with all sorts of curious things, many of them from old school science departments, labs and the like. I just think it makes for a lovely object with these delicate pods and wispy seeds, and I like the idea of the seeds as suspended possibilities, never released into the wind but still looking ready to take flight. 4" x 3 5 6",
