These products are based on petrochemicals mineral oil, paraffin and petroleum jelly along with strong synthetic emulsifiers and preservatives. They are a poor base for preparations, being neither skin compatible nor offering any regenerative benefits for the skin. Essential Base Cream is a "general purpose" base cream and is an excellent carrier
