Alfred Ollivant, Bishop of Llandaff Size:S: 30 x 25cm On the 14th March 1884Alfred Ollivant, Bishop of Llandaff, 1878. He became the Bishop of Llandaff in 1849. His long episcopate of thirty three years was marked by many reforms such as providing additional pastoral superintendence and church accomodation within the diocese. He also had a brilliant academic career. Among many other achievements he was awarded the Senior Chancellor's Medal, in 1821, which was then the highest classical distinction.
