Joseph Haydn, Austrian composer Finish:Single 18th February 1921Joseph Haydn, Austrian composer. Haydn (1732 1809) was a leading figure in the development of classical music during the 18th century. He established the form of the string quartet, and was the first great composer of symphonies, of which he produced a total of 108. He was a major influence on the work of Mozart and Beethoven.
