Carved 13 Inch Whimsy Chain with Dangling Locks decorative lacquer with a super warm presenceThis is last in a batch of old carved whimsies I purchased together and believe were all made by one American carver, first half of the 20th century I think. Chunkily but very nicely carved, super smooth, with a great patina to the dry wood. All carved from one piece of wood with no notable chips, cracks or splits, and a very satisfying object I must say. 13 1 2" long x 1 3 8" wide and deep. Locks are about 2" long.
