It appears this was long ago painted gold

as noted on the back of the gray backing card to which it is mounted

but the paint job on the mustard yellow cow with blue eye and cowbell is pretty hard to beat

with one area of surface wear/discoloration to the skin toward the bottom center

What an incredible density of tiny tiny pricked holes, making the hat and robe of this man feel quite like a cloud, and with what appear like angel wings (though perhaps a large pack) emerging from his back.
