My guess is that it is Japanese

and--especially as I'd put these immediately to use serving dips and spreads and olives

There are a couple of very fine cracks in the wood of the lid just on the surface

But it is equally lovely filled with nothing at all--an elegant sculptural form that would look great most anywhere

I ordered this deck from a card seller in England based just on a photo that included the nudists, and after waiting patiently several weeks for them I am not disappointed! I think the graphics on these all the way through are pretty fantastic, and the theme is pretty excellent too! Its quite a rare deck, published by W F Jackson & Sons of Salford Manchester in the late 30s early 40s,
