The 2006 Barolo San Rocco is sensual and enveloping

shedding any monolithic tones you might expect of a wine of this depth and persistence

Note that my predicted range offers some benefit of the doubt though what is clear is that the underlying material is not at the standard displayed by the Richebourg

all wrapped in a wonderfully long and pure finish

The 2015 Le Petit Mouton feels a little closed on the nose

Te Mata, Coleraine Vintage:2015 The 2006 Barolo San RoccoThe oak is a little obvious on both nose and palate now, but there is plenty of concentration and depth to the dark fruit character. Rich and intense with some great spicy notes, there is enough acidity and depth for this to develop for a number of years.
