A bronze gilt Maltese cross with white enameled arms, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion with a green enameled laurel wreath, surrounded by a broad blue enameled ring, inscribed FURCHTLOS UND TREW (German Fearless and Loyal) in gilt, the reverse plain, measuring 15. 36 mm (w) x 17. 46 mm (h not inclusive of integral ring); weighing 1. 5 grams; extremely fine.
