Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse depicts a frontal battleship cutting through waves, within an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by Kriegsmarine style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked with designer Adolf Bock and manufacturer Schwerin, Berlin, measuring 43. 92 mm (w) x 56. 93 (h), weighing 32.
