Japanese Kasuri - 14810 - Hexagons & Patches - By the Half Yard Panels The panels are approximately 19"Kasuri is a type of ikat woven Japanese fabric in which portions of yarns are left undyed and then woven to create a specific pattern or picture against a darker dyed background. Our kasuri fabrics are traditional kimono width 13" to 14" wide. Most of our kasuri fabrics are from the 40's to 50's. Only a few artist produce kasuri fabrics today encouraged by government grants and subsidies. Indigo dyed kasuri fabrics are quite stiff but will soften with
