Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s M43 Field Cap Republic of The peak demonstrates no evidence(Luftwaffe Einheitsfeldmtze M43 fr Offiziere). An extremely well preserved Luftwaffe Officers M43 field cap, constructed of dark blue grey wool. The cap is surrounded by fold down side panels, scalloped toward the front, providing optional ear and neck protection to the wearer. When not in use, the panels roll up and are secured in place at the front with two pebbled zink buttons which emanate from the right panel and meet an equal number of
