Constructed of a coppered bronze alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, circumscribed by inscriptions of NATIONALSOZIALISTICHES FLIEGERKORPS (NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYERS CORPS) and KSTENFLUG 1938 (COASTAL FLIGHT 1938), the reverse bearing a raised inscription "MIT UNSEREM FHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGEN WIRE UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND" (WITH
