Prussia, Kingdom. An Honour Badge For Midwives Auction Archive (Wisan an-Nahada)(Ehrenzeichen fr Wehmtter). Instituted 1886 by Kaiserin Augusta. (1890 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf topped by a crown, overlaid by a stylized banner bearing an engraved inscription of TREUE DIENSTE (FAITHFUL SERVICE), set above a raised cherub, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the obverse features in place, with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch,
