An Italian Made 1St Special Forces Badge C.1943 Auction Footnote: Arthur Thomas Searle DickinsonAn Italian Made 1st Special Forces Badge c. 1943 White cotton embroidered lettering on a red cotton field, 35 mm x 71 mm, loose threads on the edges, better than very fine. Footnote: Displayed from 1942 to 1945, this insignia was worn by elite volunteers, specialized in mountain and winter commando tactics. This Battalion was unique, in that its members were both Canadian and American personnel and combined the strongest assets of both groups. The
