Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with pebbled arms, bearing a central enameled medallion consisting of a black and white checkered shield, situated within a black enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of HOHENZOLLERNSCHER KRIEGERBUND, unmarked, measuring 33. 70 mm (w) x 37.
