Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II above a date of 1912, the reverse with an inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE) within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 37 mm in diameter, weighing 19. 6 grams, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, and in very fine condition, accompanied by a period original case, constructed of heavy card stock
