A cross pattee; constructed of silvered bronze; with red enameled arms; the obverse with a center medallion depicting a silvered Lbeck coat of arms; the reverse inscribed in the centre with Fr Verdienst im Kriege 1914 (For Merit in War 1914); on loop for suspension; measuring 39. 46 mm (w) x 39. 52 mm (h); weighing 16. 7 grams; with contact marks throughout; in overall better than fine condition.
