Germany, Third Reich. A Wehrmacht Officer’s M38 Overseas Cap, Private Purchase Province of China maker marked "Y" (unknown) on(Wehrmacht Schiffchen fr Offiziere). A fine quality private purchase Wehrmacht Officers M38 overseas cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls which gently slope down toward the front. The edge of the walls are lined near the front using a strip of silver aluminum bullion tresse, while the top is lined around the entirety of the cap with gilded tresse that has developed an even brown patina over time.
